The Simrad E5024 ECDIS system is an IMO type-approved navigation solution designed for SOLAS vessels, including large passenger ships, tankers, and cargo ships subject to the ECDIS Carriage Mandate. The Simrad E5024 ECDIS system includes support for an optional secondary display station, providing complete control of Ethernet-connected Simrad performance modules. These modules include radar, conventional echo sounders, ForwardScan™ sonar, and StructureScan Imaging™, as well as third-party accessories such as FLIR cameras, CCTV, engine sensors, and other digital instrumentation. Simrad® offers high-performance marine electronics, proven to withstand the harshest environments. Any 16-, 19-, or 24-inch Simrad marine monitor can be used for this second station, which operates independently from the E5024 system’s type-approved ECDIS functionality
