FURUNO Classroom Training. This two-day intensive course focuses on both the “technical” and “practical” aspects of navigating through rough seas using a FURUNO ECDIS. Students receive real-time, hands-on experience on how to navigate and customize their FURUNO ECDIS onboard. Participants face “real-life” situations, learning skills for navigating through turbulent seas and managing unwarranted alarms using the ECDIS. As paper charts become obsolete, type-specific ECDIS training is gaining popularity among mariners and seafarers. Most of our students appreciate the immersive experience of using an actual simulator compared to a computer screen and keyboard.
Course Overview:
Take your navigational skills to the next level with the Furuno FMD type-specific online training course. The FMD simulator-based training curricula have been approved by NavSkills, making this facility the only center in India accredited by FURUNO Maritime Training on behalf of FURUNO, Japan. Upon successful completion of the exams and required paperwork, each student will receive a certificate directly from FURUNO, Japan, and will be entered into the FURUNO database. Students who successfully complete the coursework and pass the examination will initially receive an interim certificate from Their final certificate will be issued by FURUNO, Copenhagen (on behalf of FURUNO, Japan) and sent to their chosen postal and email addresses. Upon expiration of this certificate, students must return to any other FURUNO-approved institute for re-certification.
